I hope that they see...

My contest entry for
Theme: Freedom

_{I wrote a little something for this piece of mine, it just came out of the blue~
Hope you like it!}

"I hope that they see
Who I am...
Who we are...
Who you are.

No matter what they
say behind your back,
don't let it bother you.
You're not alone.
There are others who
feel the same way.
Don't be afraid to be yourself.
You'll see,
you will be happier."

And that's it! I was in that situation a loooong time ago.
A lot of emotions went through me as I was drawing this piece.
I'll share it with you all~ ^^
Here it goes:

<sub>I acted differently around people when I was little.
I was quiet when I had something to say.
-or vise versa- I had a lot to say but I decided to shut up.
I was made fun of when I was in elementary, and somewhat in high school, and I didn't do anything about it.
I acted nice around those who were mean to me when I wanted to give them a piece of my mind.
I was depressed but I never showed it, so I kept smiling.

So, I decided I will not live like that anymore.
I wanted to be happy.
I came out of my shell and I met a lot of wonderful people.
And I did feel happier.
I made lots of friends, and we have this unbreakable bond.
We're like family now. That includes the people I met here on DeviantArt!
You guys are awesome!
